The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) has published a special issue of its publication "Islamic Horizons" on poet-philosopher Allama Iqbal. The issue includes several articles on various themes, including vicegerency, selfhood, superman, solidarity and reconstruction of Islamic thought, and Iqbal's multidimensional intellectual legacy. The thought provoking articles include "A message for our times" by Dr Dilnawaz Siddiqui, "Iqbal and Democracy" by Ambassador S Ali Ahsani, and selections from Iqbal's reconstruction of religious thought in Islam by Jerusha Lamptey.
The issue also includes illuminating discussion on Islam, democracy and "ijtehad."
