A six-day, world's largest trade fair for the packaging industry "Interpack 2005", will take place for the 17th time from April 21 to 27 in Duesseldorf, Germany, covering 18 halls with 160,000 square meters and with 2,600 exhibitors from as many as 50 countries. A spokesman for the liaison office for Messe Duesseldorf GmbH in Pakistan said that, around 60 Pakistani entrepreneurs are expected to visit the Interpack 2005 fair to get in touch with up-to-date innovations and up-gradation of equipment.
He stated that the visitors will experience machines, packaging materials, processing and packaging techniques for the food-processing industry, confectionery industry, chemical and cosmetics industries, pharmaceuticals industry and the technical consumer goods industry.
He further stated that in the last Interpack fair in 2003 there were 2,557 exhibitors, including 1,616 from outside Germany, on a net exhibition space of 148,657 square meters and 174,000 visitors, including 92,220 from outside Germany. He added that as an industry trend-setter, Interpack presents a detailed insight into the future developments in the world's packaging industry.
