The local and foreign delegates, who attended the NWFP International Investment Conference 2005, highly appreciated the warm hospitality and the excellent arrangements made by the NWFP government. They appreciated the package of incentives announced by Chief Minister Muhammad Akram Khan Durrani to attract local and foreign investors ensuring the best possible co-operation, peaceful and secure investment environment.
Expressing their optimism, the delegates said the conference would prove to be a major break through in the process of industrialisation of the province especially due to ongoing reconstruction work in neighbouring Afghanistan.
Commenting over the Conference, the foreign delegates appreciated the visit to the inside, old and historic city as well as the dinner and traditional Khattak dance at the historic Balahisar Fort arranged for their recreation.
They appreciated the cordial atmosphere and arrangements throughout the Conference.
Meanwhile, NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani also thanked the sponsors and organising departments of the Investment Conference 2005.
Commenting on the successfully conducted three-day Investment Conference, the Chief Minister appreciated the contribution of the sponsors like Pakistan Tobacco Company, Cherat Cement, MOL, Smeda, Syntronics Limited, Aero Asia, Jang Group and Board of Investment Pakistan.
He also appreciated the provincial government organisations like Industries Department, Irrigation Department- SHYDO, Sarhad Development Authority, Sarhad Tourism Corporation, Directorates of Labour, Mineral Development and Employees Old Age Benefit Institution, Information and Public Relations Department for their proactive role which paved the way for a successful conference.
