'National policy for poultry being formulated'

Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan has said the government wants to formulate a national policy for poultry's long-term development, says a press release here on Friday. Chairing the first meeting of Task Force on Poultry policy, the minister said poultry has made a great progress and now is considered second on the industrialist list after textile in terms of investment, the statement said.
The chairman of Pakistan Poultry Association briefed the minister about problems faced by the poultry sector. The minister assured the representatives of the Poultry Association that their problems would be solved on priority basis.-PR
