I am extremely happy to witness that today the textile sector in Pakistan is one a new horizon of evolution through public-private partnership and adoption of modern techniques and latest machinery. The overall growth of Pakistan's economy has drawn the attention of the international business community towards it and the present government's policies have encouraged them to undertake new ventures in Pakistan.
As the textile sector has a huge potential, the flow of investment in this sector in natural. I sincerely wish that the fruits of development and foreign investment are soon transferred to the common man in the form of job creation and poverty alleviation.
On the occasion of the grand Textile Asia-2005, I assure my full support and co-operation to the Ministry for Privatisation, the Ministry for Textile Industry, the Export Promotion Bureau, E-commerce Gateway Private Limited, Singapore and to all those who are involved in the development of the textile sector for the initiative they are taking.
I wish Textile Asia-2005 Exhibition and International fashion Show the great success that is certainly well-deserved.
