Brazilian sugar vessels line-up rises to 37

The lineup of vessels waiting to load sugar in Brazil's ports climbed to 37 from 32 last week, shipping agent Williams said on Thursday. It said in a weekly report that 22 vessels were lined up in the southern port of Santos, slightly up from 20 last week. At Maceio, in the north-east, there were seven ships, up from six last week. Two ships were at the southern port of Paranagua, the same as last week.
Among Brazil's main ports, Santos accounted for 67 percent of the sugar being loaded at Brazil's ports, while Maceio took 16 percent.
Brazil's main center-south sugar producing region completed a record harvest in December. The north-east, accounting for about 15 percent of national output, finished harvesting this month.
