Efforts on to provide gas connections

Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Company Limited (SNGPCL) is making strenuous efforts for providing maximum gas connections to domestic, commercial and industrial consumers on top priority basis in the country. Official sources told Business Recorder on Tuesday that development work on 314 projects pertaining to Sui gas was in full swing in various parts of the country costing Rs five billion. The federal government had provided Rs three billion while the Punjab government had provided Rs two billion for the completion of the Sui gas projects.
In Sialkot, Rs 80 million were being spent on the provision of Sui gas facilities in different parts while Rs 50 million had been spent on laying of new Sui gas pipeline for improving the gas pressure in Sialkot as a result of which the gas pressure improved in the area, sources added.
