Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Tuesday said that Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) has miserably failed to prove its claim for "million march" in Rawalpindi. "They could not even muster the support of the people in thousands and all their lofty claims in this behalf have proved to be complete flop," he said in response to a question at a media-briefing organised to make public the recommendations of the Ministerial Committee of the federal cabinet on restoration of religion column in the new Machine Readable Passports.
"They are unaware about the volume of million that's why they consider 5000 a million," he said.
To another question regarding situation in Sui and Dera Bugti, he said, the government firmly believes in the resolution of matters through peaceful means of dialogue process.
"Baloch people are equally patriotic citizens of the country like any one else and we are making utmost endeavours to ameliorate the lot," he said.
He said the parliamentary committee comprising majority of the MPs from opposition parties, were visiting Sui and Dera Bugti to witness the situation.
