Strike of transporter will begin from Friday at the call of All Pakistan Goods Transport Association (APGTA) and wheel Jam strike would be observed till Sunday, March 27, in Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan as a protest against an increase in prices of petroleum products, toll-tax and road-tax. "We are observing three days wheel Jam strike from March 25th in three provinces of the country to press the authorities for acceptance of their demands," said Chaudhry Mukhtar Ahmed chairman of action committee of Supreme Council of APGTA here on Thursday.
He said, "We have deferred our March 5th strike on the request of the government but government had further increased the prices of petroleum products recently and it wanted to take the prices to an extent. Now we have unanimously decided to observe three days wheel Jam strike of trucks and trailers from March 25 which would hit the supply of fresh fruits, vegetables and exportable etc.
