Corps Commander Lieutenant General Syed Athar Ali conferred medals on various military officers at a simple but impressive ceremony held at Corps auditorium here on Friday. These officers were given Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) by the Government of Pakistan on the occasion of Pakistan Day for their meritorious services to the nation.
The recipients were Colonel Nusrat Hayat Khan (FF Regt), Commander Farhat Khanum (AFNS), Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Shakil (AK Regt), Lieutenant Colonel Mahmood Iqbal (Arty), Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Dawood Paracha (Sindh Regt), Lieutenant Colonel Waheed Ilyas (FF Regt), Lieutenant Colonel Fayyaz Ahmad (Signals), Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Waheed (Engineers), Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Bilal (Ordnance), Commander (Surgeon) Manzoor Ahmad Manzoor (AMC), Major Tahir Zia (Engineers), Major Syed Firzouk Mehmood (Armoured Corps), Major Muhammad Ramazan (Punjab Regt), and Major Khalid Javed (Ordnance Corps).
The ceremony was attended by a large number of high-ranking military officers and relatives of the award winners.
