The Dawood College of Engineering and Technology (DCET) Karachi Principal Dr Muhammad Saleem Chaudhary was gunned down on Friday afternoon when unidentified assailants fired at him near Pardha Park at New M A Jinnah Road between Dawood College and Jail Chowrangi. According to details, Dr Muhammad Saleem left college with his driver Gul Nazir. When he reached near Pardha Park on New M A Jinnah Road, three unknown-armed persons intercepted his car and started firing at him. The assailants managed to escape after riddling the body of Dr Saleem with bullets.
Dr Chaudhary was rushed to the Liaqat National Hospital (LNH) but he succumbed to his injuries on his way to hospital. According to LNH sources, the deceased received three to four bullets and died before reaching the hospital.
Police sources say the assailants were on two motor bikes when they intercepted car. Jamshed Quarters Police have started investigation into the incident.
