President General Pervez Musharraf on Friday said the government is committed to the development of Balochistan and socio-economic uplift of the people of the area. He was talking to President Pakistan Muslim League Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Secretary Generals PML Mushahid Hussain Syed who called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr here.
During the meeting, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Mushahid Hussain Syed briefed the President on the activities of Parliamentary Committee on Balochistan, their recent visit to Dera Bugti and meeting with Nawab Akbar Bugti.
While appreciating the working of the parliamentary committees the President reiterated his support for resolving long standing issues through political dialogue in a spirit of conciliation and co-operation.
