England's Lee Westwood and Luke Donald matched Americans Joe Durant and Tim Herron atop the leaderboard Sunday as the third round of the storm-plagued US PGA Players Championship began. Donald completed his final five holes at one-under par Sunday to finish a four-under par 68 second round and stand on 10-under 134 with Herron and Saturday finishers Westwood and Durant at the eight million-dollar event.
Herron completed a run of six birdies in a row starting at the eighth hole on Sunday before a double bogey snapped his streak. He closed with another birdie to match the leaders after 36 holes.
Westwood and Donald hope to follow in the footsteps of Scotland's Sandy Lyle, the only European player to ever win this event.
