The Karachi Port handled 69,600 tonnes of cargo including 55,446 tonnes import and 14,154 tonnes export cargo inclusive of 583 containers, during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday. The cargo comprised of 17,071 tonnes dry cargo including 8,336 tonnes general cargo; 1,540 tonnes rock phosphate; 3,319 tonnes rice; 94 tonnes SB meal; 3,782 tonnes sugar and 52,529 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
MT Badulu Valley sailed out to sea during the report period. Three vessels viz Luo Qing, MT Johar and Bunga Kenari are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely MT Johar, Efdim Junior and Ever Gather expected to sail on Tuesday.
Two vessels viz MT Shalamar and Sagamore due to arrive on Monday, while five ships namely Ever Gather, Oranje, Apl Pusan, Pontoklydon and Sea Balsen are due to arrive on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 16,411 tonnes coal, 19,950 tonnes iron ore and 28,662 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two container vessels Anjum and Gulf Grace sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another container vessel Hotaka Maru is expected to sail on Monday.
Container vessel Maersk Alaska is currently at the outer anchorage.
Three ships namely MT Bum Woo, MV Tainyo Feng and CV Maersk Alaska due to take berths on Monday.
MT Shintoku with edible oil is due to arrive on Monday.
