Mobilink, Pakistan's leading cellular services provider, has launched additional dialling code '0301' for the convenience of its customers. The new additional dialling code has given the company a new dimension, a press release issued by the company here on Thursday said. Explaining the rationale of the additional dialling code, Mobilink Chief Commercial Officer Rashid Khan said, "We would like to emphasise that the new 0301 and the existing 0300 dialling codes will function, simultaneously without any difference in service, coverage and connectivity."
He clarified that it will be essential for all Mobilink customers to dial the respective code (0300 or 0301) before their desired Mobilink numbers for all voice calls, SMS messages, etc. In addition, the customers are requested to edit their respective mobile phone books by inserting the appropriate codes (0300 or 0301) before the stored cell numbers.
The company's customer base has exceeded 350 cities in Pakistan.
Mobilink has injected $275 million in the industry in 2004 alone, bringing its aggregate investment to over $750 million since its inception in 1994. The amount is expected to grow to over $1 billion with an additional investment of $100 million in 2006.-PR
