Former FPCCI President, Tariq Saeed has said that the government should take appropriate measures for introducing an interest free economy in the country adding that business community should also help government in this direction and primarily it should make their own Riba free system. He said that present government had guided country towards economic stability and all economic indicators were showing positive signs but the people had not been accorded with the due share of economic growth, said here on Wednesday.
"Government should take immediate measures to decrease the burden from the common people. Prices of essential commodities should be brought down by decreasing taxes," he said while addressing a reception hosted by Business Group of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) here at a local hotel.
He called upon business community of Pakistan to take part in the upcoming World Islamic Forum in Malaysia in order to learn about the Islamic business and economic system.
Tariq Saeed, who is group leader of Businessman Panel of FPCCI lauded the role of Chairman CBR, Abdullah Yousuf and said that he played an important role in economic stability and growth in Pakistan. His trader friendly policies had restored the confidence of business community on government and tax system of the country.
Suhail Sethi, President Business Group in his welcome address called upon government to take serious note of the disastrous impacts of the price hike and said if the situation was not given proper consideration country would plunge into disorder.
