MALAHIDE: Rain delayed the scheduled 10:45am local time (0945 GMT) start in the second one-day international between Ireland and Pakistan at Malahide on Saturday.
With heavy rain continuing to lash the ground, prospects for a full 50-over per side match were bleak.
Pakistan lead the two-match series 1-0 after thrashing Ireland by 255 runs in the first ODI at Malahide on Thursday – their biggest victory in terms of runs in the format.
Sharjeel Khan made a blistering 152 – his maiden century at this level.
Ireland, chasing 338 to win, were skittled out for 82, with spinner Imad Wasim taking an ODI best five for 14, which is also the best by any Pakistani left-arm bowler including legendary Wasim Akram.
