Substantial rise was marked in wheat and guwar while rest of the commodities fluctuated marginally on the wholesale commodity markets during the week ended on 16, 2005. The commodities subjected to changes were wheat, plastic mouldings, guwar, gur, cottonseed, Irri-white etc. The traders were up set where have gone the traders who invested in commodities as pace continued to be slow.
On Monday guwar inferior type gained Rs 100 and the better type up by Rs 90 for all stations. Gur prices were higher by Rs 10 to Rs 2000/2500, cotton cakes shed Rs 5 to Rs 450/455.
The second, session saw wheat lost Rs 30 to Rs 1035, guwar inferior was up Rs 25 to Rs 1850, and the better up Rs 30 to Rs 1960, and Irri-white broken low type shed Rs 15 to Rs 1150 and better type shed Rs 5 to Rs 1170, cotton cakes up Rs 5 to Rs 460 and inferior without any gain or loss was put at Rs 450.
On Thursday wheat Mexipak lost Rs 10 to Rs 1025, on Friday.
SOME CHANGES WERE MARKED IN PLASTIC MOULDINGS: depicting mixed trend: HDPE Saudia 952 down Rs 25 paisa to 39.25, Mobil down 25 paisa to Rs 39, TR 144 down 25 paisa to Rs 38.75, HDPE injection Sabic 200056 down 25 paisa to Rs 39.50 Mobil 016 down 25 paisa to Rs 89.25, LDPE 374 down 50 paisa to Rs 48, MG 20 down Rs 2 to Rs 51, MG 70 down Rs 2 to Rs 52, polypropylene injection grade Saudia up 25 paisa to Rs 39.25, India up 25 paisa to Rs 39.25, Kuwait up 25 paisa to Rs 39.25, polypropylene Pak quoted at Rs 2875, ABS polylac 707 down Rs 75 to Rs 2800 and Khumo down Rs 150 to Rs 2700.
On Thursday guwar shed Rs 25 to Rs 1825, and better type shed Rs 35 to Rs 1925 and Irri-white broken inferior type lost Rs 10 to Rs 1140 and better kind fell Rs 20 to Rs 1150.
FRIDAY'S SESSION SAW TEA PRICES FLUCTUATING BOTH WAYS: Kenyan PF-A grade down Rs 5 to Rs 167, B grade down 8 to Rs 152, C grade up Re 1 to Rs 136, BP-1 A grade shed Rs 2 to Rs 189, B grade shed Re 1 to Rs 180, plus C grade down 3 to Rs 162, Bangladesh garden pack down Rs 6 to Rs 110, Gulab down Re 1 to Rs 107, garden pack BOP down Rs 3 to Rs 112, Indonesian PF Good A down Re 1 to Rs 135 and BP-1 (CTC) good B up Rs 2 to Rs 134.
On the essential side moong Punjab (100 bags) up Rs 200 to Rs 2450, Tuver Sindh and Punjab up Rs 63 to Rs 2188, Urad Burma inferior up Rs 15 to Rs 975, better up Rs 10 to Rs 980, barley Sindh and Mardan unchanged.
