Minister for Railways Mian Shamim Haider Siddiqui will be visiting China from Monday to meet the Chinese authorities for settling the locomotives' issue. The visit is aimed at ensuring smooth working of bilateral co-operation between the two countries in the railway sector, said Chinese official sources. The sources told APP, the two sides have decided in principle to continue their on-going co-operation in the railway sector. The agreement reached between the State-run China's Dongfong Electric Corporation and Pakistan Railways would be fully implemented.
"We are trying to develop a consensus as how to overcome the complaints regarding the defective locomotives supplied to Pakistan, the sources said.
