Slow business was seen on the cottonseeds oilcake market on Monday as no interest was shown in fresh buying partly because of the higher trend in the prices, dealers said. On the cereals side, Gur inferior type gained Rs 100 to Rs 2100 and the best type also tended higher and rose by Rs 125 to Rs 2650 in the process of trading, dealers said. Khandsari better type managed to gain Rs 50 to Rs 3000 while inferior type maintained its weekend levels, they added.
On the rice sector, Irri-white better type shed Rs 10 to Rs 1140 and the low type lost Rs 20 to Rs 2750, brokers said.
Other sectors maintained their overnight levels amid low business, they added.
