International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) has assured provision of developmental funds for accelerating pace of work on developmental schemes in seven Tehsil of the Districts of Upper and Lower Dir under Dir Area Support Project (DARSP). This was revealed in a meeting at Civil Secretariat Peshawar on Thursday chaired by the NWFP senior minister Sirajul Haq while it was attended by District Nazim Lower Dir Ihsanul Haq, Muzaffar Said Advocate, Saeed Gul MPAs, Rahimullah, Project Manager Darsp and other concerned officials.
The meeting took stock of the developmental schemes in the area for the current fiscal year including construction of roads, bridges, irrigation schemes, land preservation, pave of kacha roads and drinking water facilities.
The senior minister expressed satisfaction on progress achieved so far. However, he expressed concern over delay on 100 KM road and construction of 8 bridges under Works and Services Department. He asked the concerned authorities to expedite the work and ensure its timely and quality completion.
