Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister for Food and Agriculture, Murtaza Jatoi has said that a food technology laboratory would be established at a cost of Rs 51.728 million. Presiding over a meeting of Agriculture department here on Thursday, Jatoi said the laboratory would help streamline the promotion of flowers, fruits and vegetables and preparation of their by-products on modern lines.
The amount would also be used for development of infrastructure at Sindh Horticulture Research Institute, Mirpurkhas, he added. Murtaza Jatoi said the establishment of this laboratory would greatly help in the packing and canning of juices from fruits and vegetables, squashes, prickles, etc.
