Federal Minister for Railways Shamim Haider held a meeting with Mumtaz Bakhtawar Memorial Trust Hospital and Guard Group Chairman Muhammad Shafi Malik, and discussed the role of private sector to promote trade with China. Shafi Malik said that his group was trading with Chinese entrepreneurs since long and it always inspired Chinese businessmen and industrialists to prefer Pakistan to other countries for trade and investment. Shafi said Chinese investors and traders have great respect for Pakistan and they want to invest in this country. He proposed that the government should facilitate private sector for more export to China.
The chairman Mumtaz Bakhtawar Memorial Hospital added that Pak-China friendship was time tested and this culture could help promote bilateral trade between the two countries.
He suggested that the government should ask Chinese companies to transfer technical know how to Pakistan to help its vendor industry produce maximum part locally.
Former president FPCCI Iftkhar Ali Malik who was present on the occasion suggested to the minister that the government should encourage export promotion bureau (EPB) and trade bodies to enhance trade between the two countries. He said EPB should recommend reputable companies to ensure export of quality products and grain between the two countries.
