Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has exempted special educational institutions from the ban on recruitment in the province, which was imposed on March 29, 2005. He took this decision in the larger interest of special education. Provincial Minister for Special Education Qudsia Lodhi appreciating the decision of Chief Minister here on Saturday remarked that that was a proof of his commitment and sympathy with special children.
She said special education sector was ignored in past while the present government had established a separate and independent Department of Special Education for the first time in the history of the province.
