"Large-scale tree-plantation in Karachi would not only reduce temperature and environmental pollution but the chances also exist of the city having rains twice a month". District Officer (DO) Horticulture and Training Department (CDGK), Misbahuddin Jamilee expressed these views and added that around 20 million more trees in the cosmopolitan city would have a pleasant affect bringing the average temperature down by many degrees. Referring to the 'horticulture and agriculture training institute' he said that it was the decision taken by City Nazim Naimatullah Khan that would help making city greener.
Talking to the Business Recorder Jamilee appreciated the efforts of City Nazim for setting up Horticulture Institute, to be an innovative step in the province. The site and estimated cost for this institute has not been finalised as yet, he informed.
