All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) former Chairman Abdul Ghani Bhat has said President General Pervez Musharraf's stance on Kashmir was based on realistic approach and wisdom. To a private television channel, he said that was a good thing that there was harmony in the approach of Pakistanis and the Kashmiri people.
"We can move forward only by forgetting the past and looking at future," he said adding keeping in mind the centrality of Kashmir issue efforts should be made to resolve it. He said the quest for resolution of the issue has been initiated by taking three things into consideration, which included sincerity, purposefulness and forward looking approach.
"To my opinion it is a big progress, we therefore welcome it, he added. Commenting on Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's offer for talks to APHC he said, "The situation demands positive approach from us. That is why, when we learned that both sides want to talks to us, we welcome it."
