Information and Broadcasting Minister Sheikh Rashid has said that major world powers, including the US, are considering settlement of Kashmir dispute as a key issue. He said it is a very crucial time, as most of the world powers were keen to see a solution of this core issue between the two nuclear powers. He was addressing a seminar on "Pak-India dialogue and future of Kashmir", here on Wednesday.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sikandar Hayat and veteran Kashmiri leader and former AJK president Sardar Abdul Qayyum and other Kashmiri leaders also spoke on the occasion.
Highlighting the importance of Kashmiri leaders role, Rashid said that they should join hands with the world community and President Pervez Musharraf to settle the issue through peaceful means.
The minister said that not only India and Pakistan, but also a number of other powers are actively involved in settling the dispute.
