While the new entrant, Telenor of Norway, cut a slice of 3.5 percent of the cell market cake in its first 17 days of operation, the Mobilink still holds 61.3 percent of total mobile phone subscribers. The total market is shared between the Telenor, Insta, Paktel, Ufone and Mobilink, while another transnational, Al Warid, is preparing to launch its operations soon. According to data available on Wednesday, current market is shared by Telenor 3.5 percent, Insta 5.5, Paktel 7.9, Ufone 21.8 and Mobilink 61.3 percent.
