Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has expressed heart-felt condolences on the demise of mother of CBR Chairman Mohammad Abdullah Yusuf. Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Thursday visited the Central Board of Revenue and met the CBR chief in his office. He remained with Yusuf for some time and offered fateha for the eternal peace of the departed soul. Earlier, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Governor Dr Ishrat Hussain called on CBR Chairman Abdullah Yusuf and condoled with him.
Former finance minister Ishaq Dar, MNA, also met CBR chairman, and expressed deep grief and sorrow over the passing away of his mother.
A number of other prominent personalities, including top bureaucrats and businessman also called on Yusuf, and expressed their condolences on his mother's death.
They prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in peace, and grant courage to the members of the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity.
In this connection Quran Khawani will be held on April 28 (Thursday) at Punjab House, Islamabad, between Asr and Maghrib prayers.
