Scores of kiln workers with their family members took out a protest procession against fake police encounter in which two kiln-workers were killed. The protestors marched on Circular Road, Rail Bazar, Kutchery Bazar, Clock Tower Chowk carrying dead bodies of the deceased and raised slogans against police excesses and injustices. They strongly demanded immediate arrest of SHO Dijkot and other responsible policemen. All traffic remained suspended on Circular road because protesters had blocked the road by putting both dead bodies on the road.
According to them, Dijkot Police arrested Ahmad Ali (30) and Khadim Hussain (22) on April 05 from a kiln. Later, both were killed in a fake police encounter, they alleged.
