The City Nazim Naimatullah Khan has said that five modern Solid Waste Transfer Centers like Singapore, Hong Kong and USA would be built to dump garbage to keep the city clean. It was told in a meeting to the delegation of Singapore; CDGK's officials including DCO Fazlur-Rehman, EDO Works and Services Sarfaraz Ali Shah, City Nazim's technical adviser Izhar-ul-Haq and other officials were also present at the occasion. It was said that the CDGK is keeping in view the offers and suggestions of local and foreign companies.
Richard C. Reidinger General Manager of 'Semb Envero Solution' gave the briefings through multi media regarding model transfer and cleaning system of Singapore. He said that the Singapore company has made survey of the city.
He also gave a brief on the progress, showing pictures of pollution-free transfer stations like in USA, Singapore and Hong Kong, and discussed options of transfer stations, where big vehicles would unload garbage at the ground floor, while the small vehicles would unload at first floor; 16 vehicles would be at one transfer station and one big vehicle would make four trips in ten hours.
The interaction among drivers and control room would be operated through computerised system. Moreover, DCO Fazlur Rehman has directed concerned officers to study the technical aspects and present a report to him.
