Pakistan Muslim League (Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain asked the government that beside cricket other sports should also be encouraged and specially those games, which represented our culture and traditions. He said this while distributing trophies and shields among tennis players who won three gold and one bronze medals in the first Islamic solidarity games, held in Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan participated in many games but unfortunately only tennis gave the result, to which we can be proud of. He appreciated the achievement and personal efforts and committed hard work of the President Pakistan Tennis Federation Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas.
He wished that like sports, the Islamic countries would show solidarity on other international matters to counter the challenges.
