Component parties of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) are determined to sacrifice their sectarianism and organisational adore for the collective good of Muslim Ummah. This was stated by MMA Chief and Jamaat-i-Islami Amir Qazi Hussain Ahmed while addressing a grand seerat moot at the Jamia Mansoora here on Saturday night. This was his maiden address to a public meeting after his recovery from heart surgery three weeks ago. The moot among others was addressed by Allama Ali Ghazanfar Karavi, Allama Inayatullah Gujrati, Maulana Amjad Khan, Dr Fareed Ahmed Piracha and Hafiz Mohammad Idrees.
Addressing the conference, Qazi Hussain Ahmed said the MMA was nothing short of a great blessing for this nation. "We are converged around profound adore for the person of Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his teachings, which are the entire humanity."
MMA, he said, is striving to achieve the glorious destiny which one time was practical manifestation of the commandments enshrined the Holy Quran, he said, adding the Great Prophet had left a noble heritage in the forms of His tradition and Holy Book for the Muslim Ummah to follow.
The MMA leader called for convergence of Quran and political authority in one hand. The unification of Quran and Authority in one hand, he said, protects each other, and was imperative for setting up a just system in any society.
He said contemporary Muslims can achieve the better of two worlds by acting upon it.
In his address, JUI (F) leader MNA Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said teaching of Holy Prophet (PBUH) are enlightened enough and Muslims do not need any imported concept of enlightened moderation which in his opinion was being introduced to secularise Muslim societies to please the west.
JUI (S) vice-president MNA Qari Gul Rehman and MNA Abdul Khari Zubair also spoke on the occasion.
