Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) held a one-day workshop on Sustainable Development Indicators for Ecosystem and Natural Resources Management on Saturday to impart proper knowledge about the importance of the conservation of the ecosystem among students. The workshop was attended by more than 35 participants from different environmental areas including the faculty members and students of the FJWU. Ahmed Saeed Sheikh, consultant LEAD Pakistan, Qasim Mehmood Ahmed and Isma Sana were resource persons of the workshop who delivered speeches about the topic.
They highlighted the importance of the Sustainable Development indicators for ecosystem and natural resources management and briefed the participants of the workshop, about the latest developments on part of environment round the globe.
Ahmed Saeed Sheikh addressing the participants said that the gathering of the workshop was very intellectual, articulate and capable to analyse various critical issues. Such workshops and other activities about the environment and ecosystem of the country would prove a source of encouragement and inspiration for the students, he added.
