Music and talent was recognised in abundance on Saturday in Karachi at the Jazz IM Awards-2005 with celebrities from the music and film industry. The event was organised by Indus Music (IM) in collaboration with the Mobilink Jazz, Pakistan's leading and most recognised cellular prepaid brand. It was indeed a celebration of the success, prominence and recognition achieved by the ever growing and multi-faceted Pakistani music industry and highly talented artistes.
A joint collaboration of the Mobilink Jazz, Pakistan's favourite cellular brand, and Indus Music, the first Pakistani music channel, made the Jazz IM Awards a benchmark for recognising the talent in the music industry of Pakistan.
Being termed as the "Grammy's" of the Pakistani music scene, the Jazz IM Awards brought together a myriad of popular singers from all over the country along with stars and celebrities from the showbiz world.
Everyone present appreciated the Mobilink Jazz initiative for being an enthusiastic promoter of the Pakistani music industry since its very inception.
Zouhar A Khaliq, President and CEO of the Mobilink, on being asked about the company's support to music in Pakistan said, "the Mobilink Jazz brand is all about connecting the people and emotions, and what could be a better way of being emotionally involved with the Mobilink family than through music, an essential constituent of our culture, and the life blood of a majority of our nation."
He further added that our music is a medium that transcends geographic boundaries and races and represents the softer side of Pakistan to the world.
It is a universal language that knows no bounds and always touches people at their hearts, an aspect that Mobilink Jazz as a brand has also managed to do throughout its existence.-PR
