Senior Executive Vice President, Human resource & Administration, Shehzad Saddan has said that the Board of Directors of PTCL has recently approved a new 'Compensation Package' for the employees, which would be declared before the end of current financial years. He added that the employees could avail this 'package' to get maximum benefits before privatisation. He was speaking at a meeting of officers of Multan Telecom region. He said that PTCL was introducing a new service for its consumers in which they would get three services --Telephone, Cable/TV and DSL (Internet).
He said that Senior Divisional Engineers would be promoted as directors, while training courses would be started for employees of all levels. Shehzad said that PTCL was launching housing projects in the name of 'Telecom Housing City' in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Peshawar, in its first phase, while second phase would be extended to Multan, Faisalabad, Sukkur, Hyderabad, and Quetta and all employees would be entitled to get plots according to their grades/status.
The meeting was attended by General Manager Ghulam Subhani, Directors Ata Muhammad Lund (Telegraph), Asha'a Hussain (Budget), Afzal Qureshi (Phones), Imran Gardezi, Assistant General Manager Ali Raza, Divisional Engineers Abid Chauhan, Ghulam Samad, Nudrat Bukhari, Ahmed Nawaz, Nadeem Farooq, Javed Iqbal ,Arshad Javed, Bashir Malghani, Tahir Masud, Asid Siddique, Waqar Younas, Naveed Mukhtar and Yousaf Zia.
