Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Sunday directed DPO Lahore to take disciplinary action against Qila Gujjar Singh SHO Raheel Amjad for torturing an innocent ASI. Monitoring Cell Incharge Haji Mohammad Nawaz probed the matter on the instruction of the chief minister, and found the SHO guilty. Moreover, in an inquiry conducted by the SSP Discipline, the SHO also proved guilty. On it, the chief minister directed the Capital City Police Officer to take departmental disciplinary action against Inspector Raheel Amjad. Earlier, ASI Shabbir Ahmad had submitted an application to the chief minister that he along with his brother-in-law tried to meet the SHO in Police Station Qila Gujjar Singh, but the SHO refused to hear them.
Later he again tried to meet the SHO, who asked the other police officials to detain the (ASI) in a room.
