Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and the PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, who met at the Prime Minister's House on Sunday, discussed the political situation and the legislative agenda for the forthcoming session of the parliament apart from the party matters. The Prime Minister said that the government was trying to promote the welfare of workers besides improving the working environment all over the country as it believed that a happy and contented work forces was the true asset, which could accelerate the pace of our transition towards the economic prosperity.
He also referred to various schemes and projects initiated by the government in this connection.
The visit of the Japanese Prime Minister to Pakistan also figured in the meeting.
The Prime Minister expressed the confidence that the revival of Yen Loan facility augurs well for the economy and the foreign direct investment would also register an increase in due course of time. On the whole the visit would help consolidate our relations with the country in the economic as well as political fields, he observed.
