Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed here on Sunday called on NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani and discussed issues of mutual interests. Both leaders agreed that peace process between Pakistan and India should continue for the progress and prosperity of the entire region. They opined that peace should be given a chance in the region. Akram Durrani said that it is evident from the enthusiasm of the people and interests of both countries in the recent cricket series between Pakistan and India. He said the people of Pakistan have given rousing welcome to their cricket heroes in Islamabad after emerging triumphant against India.
The NWFP chief minister said the provincial government has given assistance and extended hospitality whenever the Indian team came to this part of the country, adding that the people and the Frontier government have given warm welcome to New Delhi Cricket Association during the recent Dosti Cricket Series.
