Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that Pakistan was not under pressure of America on Kashmir issue. Talking to newsmen after inspecting the customs department's building evacuated for the establishment of National College of Arts (NCA) here Monday, he said that Pakistan would welcome the efforts of super powers if they sincerely wanted to resolve the bone of contention (Kashmir dispute) between the two neighbouring countries. He further said that any solution according to the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris would be acceptable for us.
"Kashmir issue is very serious and complicated but President General Mushrraf's efforts for resolving it have made super powers to think seriously about it and to come forward with new suggestions and solutions," he added.
There was progress on Kashmir issue and it was moving towards its climax and India must trust on Pakistan and Kashmiris to co-operate.
About the inauguration of NCA he informed that president would inaugurate NCA, the maintenance and construction would be completed within a month.
Besides NCA two more colleges would be established in the area to complete the educational project in Rawalpindi district, he added.
