The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notice to home secretary Punjab in a petition filed by former MPA Dr Ziaullah Bangash. The court also issued notices to secretary home department in another petition filed by five PPPP workers Nisar Ahmed and others challenging their arrests. The petitioners contended that the respondent police officials arrested them illegal and also got registered FIR under provisions of Anti Terrorist Act. It was prayed to quash the case, as neither they are criminal nor terrorists. The court, after hearing the petitioner's counsel at length, issued notices to the respondents and rose for the day.
