The Karachi Port handled 71,900 tonnes of cargo including 64,115 tonnes import and 7,785 tonnes export cargo including 3,926 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 38,734 tonnes dry cargo including 36,432 tonnes general cargo; 2,302 tonnes bulk cargo and 33,166 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo. Six ships namely CMA CGM Karibu, Pu He, Iran Mousavi, Lalazar, Morning Glory and Diamond Park sailed out to sea during the report period.
Four vessels viz Oranje, Eax Sanctity, Apl Dalian and CMA CGM Karibu are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Oranje, Star Xix, Kota Indah and Apl Dalian expected to sail on Wednesday, while three vessels viz Hyundai Highway, Sagamore and Argonaut are expected to sail on Thursday.
Eight vessels viz Sagamore, YM Sun, Kota Teguh, Jade Trader, Iran Kordestan, Argonaut, Thor Captain and Iran Shalamcheh due to arrive on Wednesday, while five ships namely Bonaire, Westermuehlen, Apl Orchid, Lykes Trader and Pescadores Bulker are due to arrive on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 8,912 tonnes chemicals; 550 tonnes crude oil; 8,775 tonnes iron ore; 3,360 tonnes seeds; 1,193 tonnes fertiliser and 22,593 tonnes containerised cargo.
Four ships namely MT Genmar Boss, Maersk Alaska, MV Great Well and OOCL Authority sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
MV Ionion Eagle is currently at the outer anchorage.
Two ships namely CV Oranje and CV P&O Nedlloyd Tiger due to take berths on Wednesday.
CV MSC Haley due to arrive on Wednesday, while two more ships namely CV Hotaka Maru and Wester Moor are due to arrive on Thursday.
