Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) President Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Malaysia, for the establishment of Pakistan-Malaysia Joint Business and Investment Council, said a press release issued here on Thursday. He is accompanying Premier Shaukat Aziz on his four-national tour of South East Asia.
Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, accompanied by FPCCI President and other members of his entourage, on Wednesday evening left Islamabad on visit to Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand and Singapore. In Bangkok, the Prime Minister will inaugurate Thai-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce.
Founding President of Thai-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce Chaudhry Sabahat Elahi had especially invited the FPCCI President to attend the ceremony. The new chamber will get representation on the Board of Trade of Thailand, which will provide opportunity to highlight issues related to the bilateral trade and business between Pakistan and Thailand.
FPCCI President Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed and President of Malaysian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dr Thaksin Shinawatra, will be signing the MoU for the establishment of Pakistan-Malaysia Joint Business and Investment Council in pursuance of the agreement reached during the Pakistan-Malaysia Joint Ministerial Commission meeting held in October, 2004 in Kuala Lampur.
