Officers directed to achieve wheat target

Punjab Food Minister, Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal has directed Food Department officers to make all out efforts to achieve wheat procurement target in their respective districts. He was addressing a meeting of Food Department officers of Lahore Division, here on Friday. Deputy Director Food, Lahore Division, Saeed Akhtar Ansari and District Food Controllers of Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Lahore-I&II attended the meeting. The minister directed the officers to personally visit wheat procurement centers in their respective districts and solve the problems of the growers.
The meeting was informed that Food Department of Lahore division has procured more than 93,000 metric tons of wheat so far and the target fixed for this purpose would be achieved.
