Pakistan Railway would complete 130-Km Khokhrapar-Monabao track to facilitate passengers travelling between Pakistan and India, by December this year, official sources told APP here on Saturday. Minister for Railways, Mian Shamim Haider will personally visit the site in couple of days to review progress on the ongoing work at the project. According to sources, the Prime Minister has already approved to lay broad gauge railway track while the inspection work of the track to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 2 billion, has already been completed.
The Khokhrapar station would become functional with little repair while bridges and stations falling in the route needed considerable mending.
