Skipper of Pakistan cricket team, Inzamamul Haq has said, although the upcoming tour of West Indies will be tough, but we will try our best to show best performance in all departments of the game, to outclass the host in both the test matches as well as one-day series. He was talking to newsmen after the opening session of cricket training camp, which started at Qaddafi Stadium here on Saturday. The camp has been organised ahead of West Indies tour to warm up the 17 members of Pakistan cricket team for the tour. On the opening day of the camp, all the 17 boys participated in training session. The camp, which was started at 10.00 am continued till 1.00 pm. The players remained busy in net practice, fitness exercises and other activities.
Inzamam maintained that West Indies players are in good form, therefore our boys would have to work hard and concentrate on all departments of the game. The West Indies tour is different from recent Indian tour. We have to chalk out fresh planning to get desired results, he said.
To a question, he said that in the upcoming tour, spinners would have an edge and they would play key role in the success of team. He hoped that Danish Kaneria would show better results in the upcoming tour.
He further said that his boys are fit and would show good performance in the upcoming tour. The camp will continue till May 9. The cricket team is leaving for West Indies on May 10.
