Mostly essential items underwent changes both ways including sugar, Khandsari, wheat under the impact of govt intentions to correct the prevalent wrongs, said traders commenting on the trend during the week ended on May 7, 2005. The changes marked were besides above in gur, bajra, milk powder, raw rubber etc. Sugar sector was vulnerable. Sugar inferior type shed Rs 25 to Rs 2425, while better type was put at Rs 2480, gur low type gained Rs 10 to Rs 2200, while better stayed put at Rs 2700, Khandsari low type shed Rs 50 to Rs 2700, the better type held unchanged at Rs 3000, wheat Mexipak registered on Monday at Rs 1055-1060.
On Tuesday bajra low type shed Rs 25 to Rs 1925, sugar inferior type lost Rs 60 to Rs 2425, Khandsari low type gained Rs 50 to Rs 2750, wheat Mexipak rose by Rs 5-10 at Rs 1060-1070. Milk powder Haleeb SMP down Rs 100 to Rs 3600, Poland down Rs 150 to Rs 1950, Dairy Crest up Rs 250 to Rs 4950, Olden Burger up Rs 225 to Rs 4900, Pcomillah Holland up Rs 75 to Rs 4750, Euro Gold down Rs 200 to Rs 4000, Bailie gold up Rs 100 to Rs 4200, Bailie white up Rs 100 to Rs 4200, Corolac up Rs 500 to Rs 4800, and Bale Vole up Rs 50 to Rs 4200, on Wednesday Mexipak wheat quoted at Rs 1065, Guwar inferior shed Rs 40 to Rs 1700. Raw rubber RSSV Ceylon up 50 paisa to Rs 49, Latex Semnan Tex up Rs 10 to Rs 360 and Thai (G.T) up Rs 10 to Rs 360 and Pineapple Polac up Rs 10 to Rs 715.
On Friday chemicals depicted mixed trend. The sodium sulphate down Re 1 to Rs 11.50. N.J. Taiwan down Rs 2 to Rs 127, Formic acid Germany down 50 paisa to Rs 59, Sulphonic acid soft down Re 1 to Rs 81, PVA Japan down Rs 2 to Rs 161, Rangolite C China down Rs 2 to Rs 37, Germany down Re 1 to Rs 120. Hydrosulphite China 88 percent up Rs 4 to Rs 57, Germany's down Rs 2 to Rs 69, India down Re 1 to Rs 54 acetic acid Taiwan down Rs 2 to Rs 83, Korea down Rs 3 to Rs 82, hydrogen peroxide 35 percent Taiwan down Re 1 to Rs 31 and Korea 5 percent down Re 1 to Rs 30.50.
Guwar shed Rs 35 to Rs 1,700, bajra low type lost Rs 25 to Rs 1800, the better type stayed put at Rs 1925, cotton cakes gained Rs 5 to Rs 455 to Rs 465.

Guwar all stations low type gained Rs 15 to Rs 1715 and wheat quoted at Rs 1065 and 1070.
