JCR-VIS Credit Rating Company Ltd (JCR-VIS) has assessed National Investment Unit Trust (NIUT) performance ranking for the period ended December 31, 2004 at MFR-4(s) (four star), which denotes good performance vis-à-vis other open-ended mutual funds with similar investment styles. NIUT had earned a weighted average risk adjusted return of 16 percent. The star rankings are assessed after every six months. National Investment Trust Limited (NITL) Management Quality rating continues to be AA(MQ) denoting High Management Quality.
This rating had been placed on Rating Watch last year due to uncertainty on account of privatisation of NIUT. JCR-VIS has, however, discontinued its Mutual Fund Performance Ratings for equity funds.
