Pakistan's head coach, Mickey Arthur has warned senior members of the team to perform or get ready to be replaced by youngsters.
According to Sportskeeda; the head coach was speaking ahead of the second match to be played at Lord’s on Saturday, said that he had conveyed his message to the Pakistan squad that he would not hesitate to bring in youngsters should the team’s seniors continue their undesirable run of form in the 50-over format.
"I said to the players this morning that nobody's safe. And if you're over 30 you've got to be coming to the table more often than not, otherwise it's an opportunity to blood some younger players. I'm telling no secrets, nobody is 100% safe in the ODI side and the guys know that. Everybody knows they're on notice,” Arthur said.
However, despite Pakistan ODI debacle the Test team continue to rise having achieved the No 1 ranking for the first time ever, whereas, the their ODI side are languishing at the ninth spot and are on the verge of having to play a qualifying tournament with minnows to secure a place in the 2019 World Cup.
