The World Bank has demanded issuance of tariff notification for power distribution companies, corporatisation of Wapda, revision of labour legislation, national water policy and effective implementation of civil services reforms for submitting PRSC-II report to its board in July. The World Bank delegation made the demand here on Monday during its meeting with Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue, Salman Shah. An official handout issued here said that the team expressed it appreciation of the Government of Pakistan and the ministry of Finance policies for improvement in the macro economic indicators, particularly, GDP growth and emphasised the need to control increasing inflation.
